Ms. Suzanne
Owner/Director

Collaborative Teacher, Atelierista

Mulberry House is the realized dream of Bushwick mom and educator, Suzanne Cotton. Originally from the Midwest, Suzanne moved to New York City nearly 20 years ago to pursue a master's degree at Manhattan School of Music. In the years that followed, Suzanne met her husband and completed another master's degree in early childhood education. Before having children of her own, Suzanne worked as a lead teacher, curriculum developer, and summer program director for an Upper East Side preschool. Suzanne founded and led Little Bird Music (a multi-sensory infant and toddler music class in Bushwick) until the birth of her third child. Prior to opening Mulberry House, Suzanne furthered her studies in the Reggio Emilia Approach in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Suzanne currently runs Mulberry House and teaches five days a week. She is passionate about nurturing families in community and strongly values the unique joy and wonder of early childhood.
